
Microbiologist (Food Testing)
The Microbiologist will be responsible for microbiological testing and analysis to ensure the quality and safety of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods, in compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves hands-on lab work, hygiene monitoring, and coordination with production teams to maintain food safety for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian product lines.
Job Description:

Perform microbiological testing and analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished products of all the food (vegetarian and non-vegetarian) items.

Perform routine swab tests for environmental monitoring, hygiene audits, and pathogen testing.

Ensure timely reporting of deviations and assist in root cause analysis for microbiological issues.

Support plant quality control and audits. Ensure product safety and compliance with HACCP, FSSAI, ISO, and other regulatory standards.

Maintain lab documentation and calibration logs. Prepare and maintain accurate records of all test results and observations.

Validate and verify sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with microbiological standards.

Coordinate with quality and production, maintenance and other departments for corrective and preventive actions.
Who can apply:

Candidates with a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Microbiology, or related field.

Proven experience with at least 2 years of microbiological testing in the food industry.

Must be familiar with HACCP, GMP, ISO, FSSAI regulations, and experience with lab equipment and calibration.

Should be detail-oriented, analytical, and have good documentation and reporting skills.
Salary: Negotiable based on relevant experience.
